Always Another Book in the TBR

Love to read, but I love to also just buy. Sometimes I think my hobby is buying more than reading.

Phone Kitten

Phone Kitten - Marika Christian So.much.fun.

This was an Amazon freebie. Full price is just 99 cents.

Fresh premise, good writing. It made me laugh. A lot.

It did not rely on profanities. It could be a bit outrageous, but the ridiculous was done for humor, not shock value.

I am assuming this is a self-pub. There were a few wrong words, "costumers" instead of "consumer" is the one that comes to mind, but I do remember that happening at least two other times.
There were a few missing words and a few words that just plain didn't belong, like they were left in by mistake in editing.

But all in all, well done. Although the blurb makes it seem like it could veer into the erotic, it doesn't. It is actually quite tame, a funny "mystery" premise with a side of sweet romance. The mystery is not that strong, but it gives a reason to follow our funny little heroine throughout her day.

This very much reminded me of Meg Cabot's Heather Wells series.
